SERI furthers research and action on land, place, environment, and sustainability in relation to educational research, policy, and practice.

The Sustainability and Education Policy Network

SERI acts as the Network Management Office for its flagship project, the Sustainability and Education Policy Network (SEPN), which is funded by $3 million dollars in funding from a SSHRC Partnership Grant (2012-2018) and 11 partner and contributor organizations.  Partners include the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, David Suzuki Foundation, Learning for a Sustainable Future, and Sierra Youth Coalition.  Learn more about SEPN on our website, www.sepn.ca.

Digital Media Laboratory and Project

The Digital Media Project: Youth Making Place, a SSHRC Standard Grant, ran until 2015.  The DMP curriculum and equipment are available for loan through SERI to educators and community organizations interested in doing similar workshops with Saskatchewan youth.
