Once you have made your purchases, Bali Shopping Spree
will collect your goods from the suppliers, take them to the
warehouse and arrange packing and shipping of all bulky items,
leaving you worry-free.
We use the services of several highly qualified cargo companies
depending on which is offering the most competitive rate to
your part of the world.
Shipping is available by Sea or by Air.
Air Courier is the quickest, most expensive
means of transporting goods internationally. Transit time is
3 - 5 days. We recommend and use FedEx or DHL.
Air Freight is less expensive than Air Courier
and rates are charged per kg and are calculated by weight (volumetric
weight). Transit time for most destinations via Air Cargo is
5 -7 Days.
Sea Freight is the most economical means of
transporting goods. There are two main ways to send goods by
sea freight - LCL and FCL.
Another disadvantage in shipping LCL is the
higher cost. The rate per cubic is often double that of shipping
a full container. Even a half full 20ft container is sometimes
more cost effective than an LCL shipment.
LCL - Loose Cargo or Less than Container
Load is Sea Freight charged per cubic meter. Items are packed
in specially designed wooden crates, made to measure for the
size of your goods. LCL shipments have frequent handlings
and thus some inherent risks, particularly with goods that
are regarded as fragile. The cargo is held by the shipping
company until space is available in a container with the same
destination and, because of the wait, it can take twice as
long for your goods to reach their final destination.
LCL shipments have some restrictions particularly for Australia.
Shipments involving specialized fumigation, such as Ethylene
Oxide cannot be sent LCL to Australia. These shipments must
be sent as Full Container Load. Insurance on all shipments
is recommended, especially LCL shipments, to cover against
the possibility of damage during transit.
